Hello

I’m Breyon, an artist based in Perth, Western Australia. I spend most of my time drawing, painting and sticking bits of paper together in the hope that they become something worth looking at.

My work is inspired by music, people, stories and the strange connections that appear when unrelated things are placed side by side. I enjoy working across charcoal, oil and collage, often moving between them depending on where an idea wants to go.

I don’t set out with a fixed meaning in mind. I’m more interested in making work that invites people to pause, notice details and arrive at their own interpretation.

When I’m not making art, I’m usually listening to music, chasing my cats, reading or convincing myself I definitely don’t need another tube of paint. Get in touch if you’re after a commission, or an original, or just want to chat!
